Nobody is even close to playing the way Novak Djokovic is playing right now. He is routining Nadal and Federer, and making everyone else look just stupid. I have never seen Nadal beat at his own game, but Djokovic just did it on Sunday at Indian Wells. I'm expecting pure domination for the rest of the year from Djokovic if he stays healthy. The guy was a bit of a head case in the past, but what people forget is that he only 23 years old. He is the best athlete on tour, and is using his quickness and athletic ability, and finally a serve, to just crush all opposition. Nadal may have an advantage at the French, but I still look for Djokovic to finish number one in the world at the end of the year, and a few years to come.
Oh and by the way, anyone who doesn't tennis players are athletes, just watch this guy play and get back to me. I agree in the past they weren't, but with Djoker, Nadal, and Federer/Murray now, these guys can move and are great athletes.
Ok enough tennis for the year, we'll get back to real sports later.
Djoker is playing at a level just as good or even better than Federer was in 04-07. That three year period was possibly the most dominating period of tennis by one player. I think these three months i've seen from Djoker surpasses Feds domination. However it is only 3 months. Even when Fed was dominating he never beat guys top 20 in the world 60 61. Djokovic is just flat out destroying people. I thought I would never see Fed and Nadal look helpless against anyone else but this is basically what it seems like right now. However, I don't think Djokovic can keep this up for the entire year. Nadal is still the favorite at the French and it would have to take a monumental effort for Djokovic to beat him at Roland Garros. I would definitely not be shocked if he did pull it off though. Wimbledon is up for grabs for any of those top 4 guys. Djokovic will be the favorite at the US open since he is now the best hard court player. Tennis right now is being played at the highest level ever. With guys like Nadal Fed Djok Murray and now Delpo being back in the mix, the next couple of years is going to be extremely interesting.
